Rock The Dock 2019 – Annapolis Maritime Museum, Annapolis Thursday, June 6th, 6 p.m. Join Annapolis Rotaract for its annual fundraiser, Rock The Dock. This year’s event will support the programs of Live Water by Capital SUP Annapolis. Enjoy live music, games, raffles, and a silent auction. Tickets include bottomless beer, wine, orange crushes, and local BBQ. Fashion for a Cause – Porsche of Annapolis, Annapolis Thursday, June 6th, 6:30 p.m. Doing good never looked so great! Join Hospice of the Chesapeake for its annual Fashion for a Cause. Get a look at this summer’s hottest fashion trends as professional models and community celebrities take the runway. The party continues with signature cocktails and delicious bites. Proceeds from the event will go to Chesapeake Kids, a program service of Hospice of the Chesapeake designed to support children who are living with illness, dealing with the illness of a family member, or grieving the loss of a loved one. Every Step Counts – Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold Saturday, June 8th, 7 a.m. Join Bello Machre for its 29th annual Every Step Counts Walk, Bike and 5K Run. This event is fun for the whole family and will feature a moon bounce, face painting, children’s games and prizes, great food, and music. The event is designed to promote education and awareness about people with developmental disabilities who live and work within the community. Crofton Kiwanis and Team Surlis 10K Challenge and 5K Run – Crofton Country Club, Crofton Saturday, June 8th, 8 a.m. Join the Crofton Kiwanis and Team Surlis of RE/MAX Leading Edge for their 10K Challenge and 5K. Rock Hall Rockfish Tournament – Rock Hall Rockfish Tournament Friday, June 7th through Saturday, June 8th The 2019 Rock Hall Rockfish Tournament returns. For the third year in a row, the tournament will have two tagged $20K prize fish. Payouts will be given for the largest fish (by weight) that are checked in each day, as well as a grand prize for the highest accumulated weight during the two-day competition. Ironkids Cambridge Fun Run – Great Marsh Park, Cambridge Saturday, June 8th, 9 a.m. The IRONKIDS fun run race offers young athletes the unique opportunity to feel the excitement of competition while enjoying the outdoors and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Sporting Clays Classic – The Point at Pintail, Queenstown Saturday, June 8th, 9 a.m. Join the University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation for its Fifth Annual Sporting Clays Classic. Fundraiser to benefit Maryland Museum of Women's History – Lundberg Builders, Stevensville Saturday, June 8th, 6–8 p.m. Rotary of Kent Island and Lundberg Builders present a fundraiser to benefit Maryland Museum of Women’s History. Queen Anne’s County historian and Mary Edwardine Bourke Emory Foundation President Mary Revell Goodwin will give a presentation on goals for exhibits, programs, and projects that assure the lessons learned from women of the past will be carried on by our young women through the opportunities the museum can provide. The event will also feature entertainment, refreshments, and an artwork auction. Ironman Eagleman Triathlon – Great Marsh Park, Cambridge Sunday, June 9th, 8 a.m. Drawing more than 2,000 triathletes from around the world, the Ironman Eagleman Triathlon returns to Cambridge. Cheer on the triathletes as they swim, cycle, and run the 70.3-mile course through scenic and historic Dorchester County. The event will offer 40 qualifying spots for the 2020 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
