Everything from Lisa's unique ruffled wedding dress to the details at their waterfront wedding at a private venue spoke to us. Here's what photographer Kristie Cooper of Gillette Portrait Arts had to say about the wedding on her blog: Ever since I met Lisa and Lucas last year, I knew their wedding was going to be a day filled of love and pure joy. Lucas had been stationed overseas for a majority of their engagement so this day was one they had anticipated for quite some time. As I've mentioned before, I love a first look! When a hand written note is exchanged beforehand, it makes the moment that much more special. With their roots firmly planted in the Eastern Shore, their wedding day was spent in Salisbury + Ocean City, with guests traveling in from locations near and far. With an amazing reception designed by Encore Events and food by The Palette, this event was classically Ocean City right down to the favors - Telescope Photos (what's more OC than that?!) This wedding was full of surprises from the impromptu cake smash courtesy of Lucas to a Blue Angel flyby arranged by Lisa's dad at sunset. Romance was the theme of the day- the look in their eyes as they saw each other for the first time and their arms intertwined as the plane flew by overhead were just a couple of unspoken moments that spoke of true love.
