The Beginning
High school sweethearts, Dylan and Bree have been together for nearly a decade. On one unassuming day, Dylan took Bree to a sunflower field to take pictures. To Bree’s surprise, they left engaged and the wedding planning began.
The Planning
Bree loved watching the details come together as they planned their wedding. From the beginning, they knew they wanted to get married on the water and choosing Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa turned out to be the most perfect spot for their wedding day. “It is beautiful, and the staff is amazing,” Bree shares.
The Details
Often ides can look back and think of a look and feel they were going for with their wedding. Other times, everything from colors to flowers and the stuff that is planned in between comes naturally, without a theme. Bree and Dylan didn’t really choose a theme when planning their wedding. “We kind of just did what we liked.” They also chose to DIY a few pieces of their décor including their centerpieces, which were wreaths with lanterns in the middle. Theme or not, their wedding turned out beautiful!
The Food
Look out, Italy, Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa knows how to make some amazing pasta. Bree recalls it was the best pasta she has ever had. Cupcakes rounded out the night of amazing food with flavors including lemon blueberry and chocolate.
The Best Moment
“My dad passed away when I was eight years old,” Bree shares. “So, since he wasn’t here for my wedding day, I had my other walk my down the aisle and that was so special. I will never forget that moment.”
The Best Decision
“My husband did not want a videographer at first because he thought it was a waste of money,” Bree shares. “But we kept hearing how a videographer was a great idea because it was a way to allow yourselves to relive your wedding day. I finally talked him into getting one, and he is so happy we did! We both agree that having a videographer was the best decision we made regarding our big day.”
The Happily Ever After
After marriage came a baby in a baby carriage for Bree and Dylan, who now have a sweet baby girl that they call “the light of our life, and the biggest blessing.”
Their Best Advice
It is often mentioned how fast an engagement and wedding can go by during it all. Bree and Dylan’s best advice is to have fun and try not to stress. “The whole engagement and planning process will fly by so have fun!”
