The Ceremony. With a traditional vision, Brian and Kimberly decided to be married at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis. “It’s a beautiful church location in the heart of Downtown Annapolis, which is a special place for us,” Kimberly says. “I felt like I was standing on a cloud during the entire ceremony.” But it was her entrance that left the lasting impression. “My walk down the aisle always sticks out as one of the best moments of the day,” she says. “I’ll never forget the complete joy on my father’s face as he escorted me down the aisle. He usually has a very good poker face and hides emotion well, but his happiness and pride was extremely visible in that moment. Even more touching was the reaction I received from Brian and his best man, Alex. Both of them were in tears as I walked towards the altar. It was such an honest outpouring of emotion and it made the moment so beautiful. When I got to the altar, I took a moment to wipe Brian’s eyes, grabbed his hand, and didn’t let go the entire time. I have never felt more love in my heart than I did during our ceremony. It was beautiful.”

The Food. While Kimberly and Brian were taking pictures with their idal party and family, their 80 guests enjoyed a cocktail hour to kick off the reception at the Crofton Country Club. During that fi rst hour, guests dined on crab dip, miniature beef Wellington, spanakopita, while they awaited the happy couple’s arrival. For the main course, guests had a choice between fi let mignon and chicken alfredo. And for dessert, Kimberly and Brian chose a cake layered with red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate cake with raspberry fi lling.
The Details. In honor of her new last name, Kimberly and her four idesmaids each carried a bouquet of white roses. Attached to Kimberly’s was a charm featuring a photo of his late grandfather, Dewey. At the reception, the gift table was adorned with two wooden Korean ducks to honor Kimberly’s mother and pay tribute to her Korean heritage. For favors, Kimberly and Brian gave guests small boxes of caramels—something Kimberly enjoyed receiving homemade from her grandmother. And to honor the strong role the military plays in their lives, Kimberly asked all of the idal party who are in the military—including her father, who served 22 years in the Air Force—to wear their dress uniform.r

Favorite Moments. Aside from walking down the aisle, Kimberly says that the newlywed’s favorite part of the day was the reception. “Our DJ kept our dance fl oor packed the entire night,” she says. “We had a blast getting down on the dance fl oor with all of our friends and family. Our friends were really letting loose and having fun, which made it even more enjoyable for us. From my husband and his best man doing their signature party trick—where Alex does a handstand and fl ips onto Brian’s shoulders—to my Mom doing the Wobble, the night was a blast!”
The Ever After. Following the wedding, Brian and Kimberly jetted off on a seven-night cruise from Baltimore to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Freeport in the Bahamas. “We really enjoyed having a week in paradise to settle into married life and enjoy this new chapter together,” Kimberly says. Beyond that, things have been pretty eventful. Just a few months after the newlyweds moved into their fi rst apartment in Maryland, Brian was assigned to a base in Florida. “We’ve done a lot of packing and unpacking in the last six months but it’s been an awesome adventure!” Kimberly says. “In the future, we’re planning a few more vacations, possibly adopting a dog, and seeing where the Air Force sends us next.”r
