// Young Love
Eighth grade was a monumental year for Daniella Faust and David Bronfein. Although they didn’t know it then, when they first met, the middle schoolers would fall in love 11 years later, after more than a decade of summer concerts at Jiffy Lube Live, college visits, and an unshakable nickname — early on, Daniella dubbed David, “Bronny,” a reference that remained in her phone long after the couple had started dating. Which brings us to Valentine’s Day 2011: David, then a law student at the University of Baltimore, invited Daniella, a rehab technician, to dinner in Federal Hill. The pair segued friendship into romance with considerable ease; six years later, they found themselves on the cusp of another transition…

// Fit as a Fiancé
For Daniella’s 30th birthday, the couple headed to Cave Valley Golf Club, where David’s family has a home. Daniella had never visited before, so David was excited to introduce her to the area. After dinner, they set out for a walk along the green and David started talking about new beginnings, which was a clever reference to the final day of Rosh Hashanah but also the ring burning a hole in his pocket! When Daniella thought her weekend couldn’t get any better, she discovered David had another surprise up his sleeve: a private spin class the next morning, with her best friends and her favorite instructor teaching.

// Under The Big Top
Daniella had always dreamed of having an elegant tented reception, and she loved the water views and flexibility that Whitehall offered. “We really wanted to be able to create our own space and Whitehall helped that vision come to life,” she says. Although wind and rain were not a part of her personal forecast for her wedding day, Daniella endured the weather with grace. “I ended up with 99 percent of the things I envisioned, so I’d say I’m pretty darn lucky!” she says.

A four-server bar, positioned at the entrance of the tent, ensured guests didn’t have to wait for a drink. “We really wanted our guests to enjoy themselves,” says Daniella.

For dessert, Daniella and David served wedding cake, boozy milkshakes, and a chocolate hazelnut torte.

// Second Guessing
Initially, Daniella thought she wanted a fitted gown, but the morning after she purchased her dress, she called Francesca’s Bridal Salon in a panic. Would they let her switch her gown to a full-skirted style? Thankfully, the shop was more than willing to help. Daniella selected a sparkly Badgley Mischka dress with an illusion bodice and rose embroidery. “It was the prettiest thing I had ever worn,” she says.

// The Cheesesteak Adventure
One of the most important decisions for David and Daniella was selecting their wedding band. They traveled to Philadelphia for a showcase put on by EBE Entertainment. “We sat in the front row and danced and sang to all of the music, while every other couple had their notebooks and pencils out taking notes!” Daniella says. The band they ended up selecting, Paris, was the first to perform. “I actually cried during their last song and whispered to David, ‘We’re choosing them!’” Daniella says. Stops at both Pat’s and Geno’s for Philly cheesesteaks provided the perfect end to the evening.
