We hate to eak it to you, but it's time to conjure your high school geometry class. Don't panic; we won't make you calculate angles or recite the properties of tangents. Today's lesson is just a ief refresher on shapes and lines, which are the it-accents of the moment.
While triangles, hearts, and polygons can top just about anything, our favorite application of the theme is ceremony backdrops. Kelley Swann, a local custom floral designer, creates gorgeous oversized wreaths and triangle ‘tee pee' arbors for her clients. “But if changing the arbor design for your ceremony isn't an option, you can always opt for geometric vases with cascading florals or a floral chandelier to cascade above the reception dance floor,” she says.
We're also smitten with triangle place card holders from Esselle, terrarium centerpieces, and escort cards made out of hexagon marble tiles. Of course, the secret to success with any motif is consistency, so don't forgot to incorporate geometric patterns into your signage and stationary.
