At about the same time that New Year’s resolutions were being made, we were busy mailing out our biennial Leading Lawyers Peer Review survey forms to more than 1,500 attorneys who practice law in Anne Arundel County and/or the Eastern Shore. We would like to thank the many area attorneys who took the time and effort to fill out the official ballot and return it to us. (Only original ballots were accepted, no duplicates.) The ballots are all anonymous, or we would thank them individually.br
A true peer review survey is a rarity in this day and age—most publications don’t take the time and trouble to do the large mailings and ballot tallying—which makes these results all the more meaningful. These are not “editors’ picks” or the result of limitless ballots from the general public.
These honors only come directly from other attorneys—people who really know what it takes to be a good lawyer. We are especially gratified because we believe this poll provides an invaluable service to our readers. br
brThe following names represent the individuals who clearly received the most substantial amount of votes, not everyone who was nominated. Some categories list more names than others. This is as a result of the especially active voting in those categories. The attorneys’ names are listed in alphabetical order by last name. They are all Leading Lawyers.
