Stephen Krohn has limited his practice over the past 37 years to family law, representing clients with issues of separation, divorce, custody, prenuptial agreements, property settlements, and appeals. Mr. Krohn became one of the first attorneys to receive a Certificate in Mediation from Harvard Law School in 1994 and has since arbitrated and mediated more than 700 family law cases. He was elected as a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 2000 and served as president of the Maryland Chapter from 2009–2011. In recent years, he has been listed among Baltimore & Washington, D.C.'s Top Attorneys, Maryland SuperLawyers, Best Lawyers in America, as well as Top 100 Attorneys in the State of Maryland. Mr. Krohn has proudly achieved an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating possible in both legal ability and ethical standards. He has also been honored on multiple occasions by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in Family Law published in What's Up? Annapolis magazine.
Mr. Krohn is a frequent lecturer on the subject of mediation at University of Baltimore School of Law and Anne Arundel Community College, among others. He has also taught “The Art of Cross-Examination,” “Preparing Your Client For Mediation,” and numerous other topics of interest for the Anne Arundel Bar Association.
Mr. Krohn is an experienced advocate for those whose cases require an appeal. He has argued more than 70 cases before the Maryland Court of Appeals and Court of Special Appeals, and on seven occasions, those cases became reported decisions.
New clients are regularly referred to Mr. Krohn by his colleagues and by former clients in Central Maryland and the Upper Shore.
Andrea P. Montini, formerly Andrea N. Padley, graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 and from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2004. She was admitted to the Maryland bar in 2004, and shortly thereafter became Managing Attorney of the YWCA of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Domestic Violence Legal Services program, where she provided legal representation to victims of abuse in their domestic violence and family law matters until early 2010.
Andrea is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, Anne Arundel Bar Association, and James C. Cawood, Jr. American Inn of Court. She currently serves on the Judicial Nominations Committee of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence.
Since joining the firm in April of 2010, Andrea has built her practice on providing compassionate and attentive representation to her clients. Her approach is honest, practical, and gets positive results. Andrea, who is fluent in Spanish, concentrates in negotiating and litigating family law matters, including domestic violence matters in District and Circuit Court.
