Clara Martone Bereston concentrates her practice in Family Law. Trained in Collaborative Law and Mediation, as well as Litigation, Ms. Bereston, along with the client, is able to assess which method is best for the client. Ms. Bereston manages her cases as efficiently and as inexpensively as possible, while maximizing the outcome for her clients. She chooses to practice as a solo practitioner so that she can give her clients the personal attention that they need and deserve.
Although an aggressive and experienced litigator, Ms. Bereston’s relationship with and reputation among other members of the bar enables her to resolve the majority of her cases by settlement, and without going to trial.
Ms. Bereston handles cases involving complex legal issues involving marital property, pensions, business and professional associations, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders, Family Law Appeals, Domestic Violence Protective Orders, as well as alimony, custody, and child support. Ms. Bereston has been recognized as a “Maryland Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics every year from 2010 through 2016. She was a 2015 recipient of the prestigious TWIN Award given by the YWCA.
