Currently teaching: 6th grade Language Arts and Religion
Proudest teaching moment: “I love when a student who is struggling with a concept, finally gets it and they feel a sense of pride in themselves and their accomplishment. I also love when my former students come back to our school and I see the many wonderful things they have accomplished with their lives.”
Teaching philosophy: “My teaching philosophy is to create an environment where my students can feel safe, comfortable, and respected. Within this space, they can learn and strive to be the best they can be.”
Toughest challenge facing educators: “The constantly changing world of technology. The students are usually so much more tech savvy than adults. We, as teachers, need to continue to learn and step out of our comfort zone in order to take advantage of and utilize all the technological advancements to enhance and enrich learning.”
