“This beach house was built from the ground up. The clients wanted an easy-care home with fabrics that would withstand teenagers, family functions, and the intense sunshine. Fun lighting was a must! The homeowners also had a pair of vintage shutters that they wanted to incorporate somewhere in the design. We used them to create a built-in surrounding a bed in the blue and white bedroom.”
The judges said: “What a fun, bright, use of fabric and natural light! I sense this home really reflects the personality of the homeowners. It seems like a very happy place even on a gloomy day.”
