The Academy Art Museum cele ated the 100th year anniversary of the birth of American musical genius and icon Frank Sinatra at its gala cele ation, “Come Fly with Us!” at the historic Gross Coate Farm in Easton -- home of Honorary Event Chairpersons and Signature Sponsors Tricia and Frank Saul.
Nearly 500 guests were ushered into tents designed to resemble the prestigious Stork Club in New York City, one of Sinatra's most renowned venues. Vintage cars of the era were provided by Mary and Armeane Choksi and Gale and Henry Petronis.

As the sun set over the Wye River, Sinatra's favorites were performed by the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra with award-winning vocalist Allan Harris. Guests crowded the dance floor late into the evening under the stars and illiant moonlight.
“This record- eaking fundraiser will help catapult the Museum's work forward as it continues to oaden its programs to thousands of school children in our area and provide adults with a range of opportunities to explore the pleasures of the creative arts,” said Kay Perkins, Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Academy Art Museum.
The Gala's Signature Corporate Sponsor was PNC Wealth Management. Other corporate sponsors were The Avon Dixon Agency, Wilmington Trust and Guilford & Company. Donors include Bruce Wiltsie and Bill Davenport, Buffy Linehan and Ed Ga iel, Judy and Henry Stansbury, Alexa and Tom Seip, Patricia and Tim Roche, Ellen and Richard Bodorff, Alice and Jim Clark, Jocelyn and George Eysymontt, Maxine and James Farrell, Cathy and Tom Hill, Chris and Bill Hunter, Bette Kenzie, Doris and Robert Malesardi, Catherine McCoy, Courtney and Scott Pastrick, Lisa and Tim Wyman, Nancy and CG Appleby, Mary and Armeane Choksi, Caroline Boutté and Peter Gallagher, Peg Keller, Robert Lonergan, Jeffrey Parker and Chance Negri, Kay and Bob Perkins, Susan and Blaine Phillips, Rick Scobey and Bruce Ragsdale, Mary Tydings and JT Smith, Martha and Dave Tuthill, Carolyn Williams and Colin Walsh, and Debbie and David Willse.
