What inspired you to pursue a career as a real estate agent?
I was introduced to real estate at a young age due to my family’s investments. It just came naturally to me. When I married my husband, a German engineer and architect, I was able to work with him on several projects. Once we moved to Maryland, I began my own real estate journey. I match my buyers with their dream home and help my sellers move on to their next home. Many of my clients and I remain friends for years, and, as a result, I receive many referrals.
What excites you most about your profession?
No day is the same. Every property is different. I am inspired by the day-to-day challenges, and I thrive when I am working with people. The most challenging sales bring me the most joy. I am passionate about my profession, and I don’t consider it a job.
What is your approach to client service?
I provide my clients with the quality of service that I expect. I am a Type A personality. I enjoy seeing instant results, and I like to know that everything gets done my way. I am a good listener with a positive, upbeat attitude. My clients benefit from my quick thinking and hands-on approach.
What marketing trends are you seeing in the real estate industry?
Buyers are looking for move-in ready homes with open floor plans and clean interiors. They want privacy and low maintenance, but they also like close proximity to restaurants and shops. Waterfront buyers typically want a great view and a home outside of the flood plain.
