This weekend is a scary one for a lot of people. Today is the dreaded April 15th, but thanks to a not well publicized D.C. holiday, you have three more days to stress about that tax return. Super. To get your mind off of any money you may owe to everyone’s favorite uncle: Sam, how about attending one or more of these events?
For the Kids …
Have breakfast with a giant rabbit
The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is again hosting breakfast with the Easter Bunny. This time it’s at both 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Kids can get their picture taken in between bites of pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee. Call 410-263-7958 to get your tickets.
For the Grownups …
Take a trip to Armadillo Acres
Pay a visit to the Spotlighters Theatre in Baltimore on Friday or Saturday at 8:00 p.m. or on Sunday at 2 p.m. to see the divas of the double-wides in the Great American Trailer Park Musical. When Pippi, a stripper on the run, comes between agoraphobic homebody Jeannie and her toll-collector husband a storm begins to brew and this storm shakes the trailer park right down to its foundation. Sounds pretty crazy … and not kid friendly.
For the Whole Family …
Fling into spring
Yay! It’s street festival season once again. This weekend brings us the Annapolis Spring Fling Festival, starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday at Maryland Avenue and State Circle. It will feature antiques, art, home décor, food, children's activities and live music by the Rovers. And, best yet – there is free parking at Calvert and St. Johns Streets. Come out and enjoy the beautiful day to help Save the Coconuts. Call 443-822-7454 if you need more details.
