Wide receiver Kevin Dorsey was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round and three former Terps signed undrafted free agent deals. Tight end Matt Furstenburg signed with the Ravens, defensive lineman A.J. Francis signed with the Miami Dolphins, and linebacker Darin Drakeford signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. r rr rThe Washington Capitals (27-18-3) ended the season as Southeast Division Champion and with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over the Boston Bruins this weekend. The team will host the New York Rangers at home for the first two games of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. This is the third straight year these two teams have met in the postseason. They have faced off in four of the last five postseasons. Next game: vs. New York Rangers, date and time TBA. r rr rThe Baltimore Orioles (15-10) won both of their series this past week against the Toronto Blue Jays and the Oakland Athletics. The A's had to take the O's to 10 innings on Sunday in order to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the orange and black. Next game: at Seattle Mariners, April 29, 10:10 p.m. r rr rThe Washington Nationals (13-12) slumped earlier in the week, getting swept by the St. Louis Cardinals. They rebounded by taking three of four against the Cincinnati Reds. Next game: at Atlanta Braves, April 29, 7 p.m. r rr rThe No. 1 Maryland women's lacrosse team (19-0) won their fifth straight ACC Title after knocking off Virginia and North Carolina this weekend. Next game: NCAA Tournament First Round, May 10. The No. 2 Terps men's lacrosse team (9-3) lost its third game of the season against Virginia in the ACC Semifinals. Next game: vs. Colgate, May 4, 12 p.m. r rr rThe No. 15/12 Navy women's lacrosse team (18-1) won their fourth-straight Patriot League Tournament title by defeating Lafayette and Holy Cross this weekend. Jasmine DePompeo was named Patriot League Tournament MVP for the second time. Next game: NCAA Tournament First Round, May 10. r rr rThe defending Major League Lacrosse Champion Chesapeake Bayhawks (1-0) opened up their 2013 season with a 17-14 road win against the Rochester Rattlers. Midfielder Kyle Dixon scored seven points and tied an MLL record with three two-point goals. The team will make their home debut next weekend at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
