Attracted to the beauty of Maryland's Eastern Shore, neurosurgeon Curtis Nelson, M.D., Ph.D., left a successful practice in Rochester, New York in 2005 to open a new practice in Easton. Dr. Nelson treats cere al tumors, head injuries, facial pain, and cervical and lumbar spine disorders. He is also widely recognized as an expert in pituitary tumor surgery.
Dr. Nelson graduated from Princeton University with a major in electrical engineering and worked as a designer of medical instruments. He earned a Ph.D. in neurophysiology and a medical degree with honors and distinction in research from the University of Rochester.
Dr. Nelson has established relationships with top doctors and medical institutions throughout the region. He has partnered with Shore Health System with privileges to practice at the Memorial Hospital at Easton and is a member of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.
