The 2023 Annapolis Jazz & Roots Festival closes with a performance by hometown favorites, guitarist Dick Rausch and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Elizabeth Melvin. The duo will perform with their group Amoroso in a program titled "Bossa Nova & Beyond." For this special performance they have invited two beloved Brazilian musicians. Bassist Leonardo Lucini and his brother, percussionist Bruno Lucini, are part of a musical family from Rio de Janeiro. Both have played a key role in popularizing Brazilian musical styles in the United States and have been particularly influential in and around the nation's capital. World traveled pianist/keyboard player and educator Harry Appelman completes the band. Expect great rhythm, melody and harmony from these seasoned performers.
