Earth Day Special - Restoring the Chesapeake Bay: the Good, Bad, & Ugly
to
Michael E. Busch Annapolis Library 1410 West Street , Annapolis, Maryland
Don’t miss this inside story on 39 years of personal involvement in formal efforts to restore the Chesapeake Bay as told by former state senator Gerald Winegrad. He will examine both the successes and failures toward this goal and pull no punches in revealing the inconvenient truths on the issues. His presentation will examine measurers to limit nutrients and sediment that are causing dead zones and living resources to decline, and address steps we, as individuals, can take to ensure the Bay life we once enjoyed.
Mr. Winegrad is a life-long Marylander, environmental attorney, former state senator, member of the Chesapeake Bay Commission, and a graduate school professor—teaching a course he wrote on Bay restoration.
