Come learn from the Weatherford family as they demonstrate the ways we can find resilience and drive in genealogy by taking us back to their roots. Illustrated by Carole's son, Jeffery, their latest book, "Kin: Rooted In Hope," features a combination of poems and hand-drawn pieces that tell the story of the Weatherford family history. This story is recommended for readers ages 10 and up. Admission is $5.00 per person, but anyone attending this presentation can freely attend our afternoon presentation on African Americans in the Civil War as well. This is a double-feature you won't want to miss! We are planning to serve some light refreshments.
