Meditation with Reverend Sarah Phillips
Join us as we explore the whys and ways of meditation. We will discuss the history and benefits of several kinds of meditation. Most of our time will be spent trying different techniques and discussing our experiences. We will explore silent meditation, movement meditation, guided meditation, mindfulness meditation, and more in this 5-week class. You will walk away with a practice that you can implement immediately and that you can maintain.
This is an experiential class, so wear comfortable clothing. We will be in chairs, on the floor, outside, and moving or sitting for periods of time. If you have mobility issues, please notify the instructor so that accommodations can be made for you to share the experience. During the first class you will receive a schedule of when to bring a mat or pillows.
The class leader, Reverend Sarah Phillips, is the minister at Unity by the Bay and has been practicing different types of meditation for several decades. She brings a flair for fun while learning and can challenge students with compassion and empathy. Come see why so many people love her classes!
Pay what you can ($50-$200 for all five sessions). The class will be held on the five Tuesday evenings in October. Register through our website, unitybythebay.org/meditation.
