Oxford Day
Downtown Oxford Oxford, Oxford, Maryland 21654
Mark your calendar and plan to join us for Oxford Day this year. We will be back to our full event, after several years of no events and a limited event last year!
One of our most treasured events will begin at 8:30 – the Blessing of the Pets, followed by the Talbot Humane Dog Walk.
Parade Route
From there the day unfolds with a Dog Show in Town Park, Bake Sales, breakfast offered by Oxford Community Center, and Oxford Museum opening.
The Parade starts at 11 and marches right along Morris Street. Watch for the piper who leads off an assortment of floats, fire engines, bands, old cars, walkers and animals—it’s always uniquely Oxford!
Immediately following the parade, the participating school marching bands will convene not he Soccer Field for a Battle of the School Marching Bands – a fun event where each band plays several songs in turn and our judges award trophies.
Plan to relax, walk about, keep social distance, and enjoy the day.
If you want to experience Oxford from the water, visit the Oxford Bellevue Ferry which has been in existence since 1683! The Oxford Ferry will welcome free walk-on passengers throughout the day!

Your hunger can be satisfied at many venues around town including, of course, our fine restaurants, and also booths in Town Park and Causeway Park, our churches and the Oxford Market.
There will be designated parking areas.
Be aware that Morris Street and some side streets close to traffic before and during the Parade, from about 9:30-noon. Allow extra time to reach Oxford boatyards and for moving about town. Residents should plan their days with the expectation of delays in driving.
