Oyster Festival

Celebrate the oyster and Chesapeake heritage at Captain Avery Museum’s annual Oyster Festival. Enjoy oysters freshly shucked or steamed by the Anne Arundel Watermen’s Association; fried on a roll or served up in a stew from local restaurants.

Musicians Gary Wright and Leah Weiss with Jimmy Jacobs open the day with Americana music, followed by Tim and Savannah Finch and the Eastman String Band.

There are lots of kids’ activities and fall crafts to enjoy as well as a 50/50 raffle and fundraiser for the adults. Beer, wine, mixed drinks and nonalcoholic beverages for sale as well.
