Older adults who love to sing can experience a new adventure this summer when the nonprofit Encore Creativity for Older Adults, the nation’s largest choral arts organization for adults 55 and older, launches its first summer session this July.
The six-week rehearsal program will bring together Encore singers across the region for a community-building experience of friendship and singing. No auditions are required. The summer session’s theme, “community-building in song”, will delight both new and returning Encore singers to a friendly and warm musical setting.
The Annapolis ensembles, led by conductor Stephen Harouff, will meet on Mondays at Maryland Hall, 801 Chase St, Annapolis, MD 21401. The Chorale programs meet in the morning from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Encore ROCKS, ensembles singing choral arrangements of classic rock songs, will meet from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
The summer semester of Encore Creativity begins July 17. Registration for the six-week rehearsal season is $75 and includes all materials. For more information, visit encorecreativity.org or call (301) 261-5747.
