The Annapolis Powerboat Show is turning 50 and it is inviting the community to come out to a free celebration party to mark the milestone. This event is from 5 pm to 9:30 pm on Thursday, October 6th on Market Space in downtown Annapolis, Maryland. The event will treat everyone as a VIP with free admission to the block party.

The event will feature the feel good, party pop and rock and roll band Wheelhouse - voted best local rock band on the Eastern Shore by What's Up? Magazine Eastern Shore. They will be playing from 530 pm to 930pm.

Local oysters will be available for just $1 at McGarvey's Saloon and Oyster Bar and dinner can be ordered at the Annapolis Market House, Federal House Bar & Grille, Iron Rooster, McGarvey's and Middleton Tavern.

Featured drinks of the evening include oyster shooters, craft beer, crushes and other cocktails.

Bring your friends to dance, enjoy live music and dine at this free admission event located just across the street from the Annapolis Boat Shows.

For those that attended the boat show the shuttle to the Naval Stadium Parking lot will run until 930pm

For those coming into town for the evening party, there is plenty of Annapolis parking in the local garages including free parking starting at 6pm at the Calvert Street Garage (19 St. Johns Street). A free circulator shuttle to downtown runs from the Knighton and Park Place Parking Garages.
