9/11 Ceremony to Commemorate (Instagram Post (Square)) - 1
Easton, MD - Talbot County, in partnership with the Town of Easton, the Easton Economic Development Corporation, The Arc of the United States, AmeriCorps/9/11 Day of Service will host an official ceremony to commemorate the events of September 11, 2001 on the corner of West and Dover Streets in Easton, Maryland. The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. sharp, so that the tolling of the bells coincides with the moment the first tower was struck on September 11, 2001. The ceremony will be followed by an art show at the Talbot County Free Library featuring artwork created by community members during Summer 2023, including the unveiling of a public art installation entitled "Community".
What: A Day to Remember, 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance
Where: Corner of West and Dover Streets, Easton, Maryland. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Meeting Room at the Talbot County Free Library, Easton Branch.

Who: Local and State Officials, Fire, Police, Corrections, and Emergency Services Personnel, Community Leaders, Members of the Public
Why: Two decades ago on September 11, 2001, many lost their lives to the 9/11 attacks and its aftermath. To honor the spirit of sacrifice made on that day, and the sacrifices that continue to be made by members of the Armed Forces, emergency responders, and their families, by uniting in remembrance, and in service and volunteerism in our community.
