The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University, in collaboration with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore presents an exhibition of The Gallery of Artists July 8-10, 2011. The Gallery of Artists, a collaborative group of award-winning wildlife artists diverse in medium and unique in style, will join together in an intimate setting to cele ate and make available for purchase its collection of art at their exhibit entitled “Artistic Perspectives on Nature.” The Gallery of Artists embodies over 150 years of creating nature and wildlife art that has graced numerous museums, galleries, exhibitions, businesses and homes all over the world. Skillfully represented in this exhibition are oil paintings, stone sculpture, photography, etchings, watercolors, onze sculpture, pyrography, graphite, acrylics and miniature paintings. Separately, each artist draws from personal experience to leave a distinctive imprint on each of his or her pieces. Together they are driven by the culmination of their artistic and life experiences and ability to communicate with one impassioned collective voice.

“Artistic Perspectives on Nature” will be on exhibit and sale for three days only, with proceeds going to fund the worthy programs at The Ward Museum and to support the Fund for the Environment at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

Saturday and Sunday the public are invited to explore the Ward Museum's LaMay gallery to see the showcase of artwork. Additionally, artists will also offer throughout the weekend live presentations and demonstrations illustrating their process and technique in producing their art. These demonstrations include the art of pyrography, onze and stone sculpture, painting, photography and etching.
