Hollie S. Cutler, Esq. has built a highly respected law firm in Annapolis, focusing on family law including divorce, separation, marital settlement agreements, property division, custody and access, child support, and spousal support issues, as well as pre-nuptial agreements and parenting plans. One of Anne Arundel County’s first female public defenders, Hollie garnered a solid reputation as a tenacious, well-prepared, and skilled trial lawyer. Hollie Cutler’s appreciative client base is a result of her trial accomplishments, skilled negotiation tactics, and careful case preparation. Ms. Cutler’s choice to practice as a solo practitioner enables her to best give her clients the attention they deserve as she works for and with them to effectively litigate, fairly negotiate, and resolutely resolve conflicts around family law matters such as divorce, custody, and property division. Although an aggressive litigator, Ms. Cutler successfully resolves the majority of her cases by settlement. She also serves in the capacity of both a court appointed mediator, as well as a mediator for private clients.
A graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of San Diego School of Law, Ms. Cutler has maintained her law practice in Annapolis for more than thirty years. She has been recognized not only as a Leading Lawyer on several occasions, but also as one of Maryland’s “Leading Elite” and in 2015 was named as one of the “10 Best” according to the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. Hollie serves as a Facilitator for the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, has taught numerous courses on Family Law and Business Law, both at the University of Maryland, College Park and Anne Arundel Community College, and given lectures on “Legal Aspects of Divorce and Separation.”
Hollie is an accomplished horsewomen who has competed in dressage at the Prix St. Georges level. She lives on a small farm in Harwood with her 14-year old daughter, Mikayla, a dedicated event rider whom Hollie says is the “truly talented horsewoman in the family.”
