But her work on the sports fields— as an MISAL All-Conference soccer player for an impressive four seasons, team MVP two years, and team captain in 2011 and 2012— has been integral to her success at her desk, she says.

“I love the opportunities sports have provided for me to make a meaningful contribution to my community,” Michaela says. When she's not playing center-mid, or shooting 3-pointers as a guard for the Scots, Michaela says, “I like to play my guitar, and singing in our school choir, too.”

An FCA member, as well, Michaela lives in Severna Park with her parents Steve and Donna. She's the middle child between others Isaac, 20, and Daniel, 15.
