Baltimore, MD - The United States Coast Guard released a Public Notice (D05PN-09-2024) seeking comments from interested parties regarding the rebuild of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The notice, which describes the proposal in detail, may be viewed on the Coast Guard’s Navigation Center’s (NAVCEN) website.
On August 30, 2024, the Coast Guard Commander, Fifth Coast Guard District, received an application from the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) for approval of the location and plans for replacement of a collapsed fixed highway bridge over a navigable waterway of the United States. All interested parties are encouraged to provide comments to the Coast Guard on this proposal.
The comment form is located on page 3 of the public notice document. Comments on this proposal should be provided to the Coast Guard no later than December 7, 2024.
