This weekend also heralds the first-ever Cam idge Beer Festival, organized by the folks at The High Spot, along the 300 block of High Street in downtown Cam idge. Festivities start at 1:00 pm. Look for ews from St. Michaels, Evolution Craft Brewery, Flying Dog Brewery, Stillwater Artisan Ales, as well as Belgian ales. There's also live music by Blackwater and the Ottotones to enjoy as you learn about the fine art of ewing. The festival benefits Cam idge Main Street's beautification efforts. Admission cost $20 and includes a small beer tasting glass and tastes at six eweries. If you join the Choptank Trot for Melanoma 5K Run/Walk at Great Marsh Park in Cam idge that morning, you'll get $5 off your entry to the beer festival. Register on active.com .

Quench your thirst for art at low prices at the Dorchester Center for the Arts' “Art in the Alley” from noon to 5:00 pm in the alley next to the Center, located at 321 High Street. Sales benefit the Dorchester Center for the Arts.

• Dorchester Center for the Arts will be featuring “Chesapeake Moments”, showcasing the works of the Chesapeake Art League. Artists' Reception from 6-8 p.m. with music by Tien Nguyen.

• Main Street Gallery, 413 Muir Street, features “Members and Guests”, where members of the artist-run gallery share the space with guest artists, including painters, potters, photographers, jewelry artists, and sculptors. Meet the member artists and their guests at an opening reception from 5-9 p.m.

• Joie de Vivre Gallery, 410 Race Street, showcases the work of other and sister Paul and June Lockhart, with metal scupltures of Dorchester waterfowl by Paul, and Eastern Shore landscapes by Lynn. Artists reception from 5:30-8:30 pm.

• The Danny Doughty Gallery, 437 Race Street, showcases the vi ant works of a nationally known and Cam idge-based folk artist in a stunning gallery space.
Wind down and relax at one of Cam idge's award-winning restaurants.
