Cellulite affects up to 85% of women and can involve the arms, stomach, buttocks, and legs. It appears as dimpling and rippling of the skin. First, fibrous bands that tether the skin to muscles fascia become shortened and lose their ability to stretch. Fat also begins to protrude into the skin while the skin thins over time.
