People ask me all the time, “Jessica, why are you running for County Executive?”
The answer is simple: I love Anne Arundel County—we all do!
But I also know that we can do better.
We need hands-on, proactive leadership—someone who is willing to recognize the problems that we face to find REAL solutions, rather than simply ignore them. It's called better local leadership—and it really does matter!
My plan for Anne Arundel County?
- Lower taxes and cut wasteful spending
- Reduce violent crime and support our police and public safety officers
- Modernize County government to make it work for YOU
- More teachers and buses, less politics
Since 2018, Anne Arundel County’s budget has grown by hundreds of millions of dollars. And what do we have to show for it—are our communities safer? Is our local government more responsive? Unfortunately, we all know the answer: No.
As a civil engineer, attorney, County Councilwoman, and a mom, I know how to solve problems with the resources I have, which is exactly what I’ll do as your next County Executive.
