Library friends can leave an indelible memory at the new Annapolis library, set to open in early spring next year. For a $100 contribution, the library foundation will place a 4” x 8” brick, engraved with words of the donor’s choice, in the main walkway connecting the parking area to the entrance at the new Annapolis library. Bricks ordered by September 13 are guaranteed to be in the completed walkway when the new Annapolis library is dedicated.
Each brick can be engraved with up to three lines, 15 characters each (including spaces and punctuation.) Since the brick campaign began in early July, donors have requested bricks be engraved with names of loved ones, special dates, favorite sayings, and memorial tributes.
“All proceeds from the brick campaign go toward supporting and meeting needs in the library’s 16 branches,” says library foundation executive director, Ann Glenn. "This is the first time the library has offered an engraved brick at one of its branches so we’re very excited to bring this opportunity to the library’s many friends and supporters.”
