Unfortunately, with these unpredictable times, many people will not be able to gather around the holiday table with their entire families. This Thanksgiving, just like everything else this year, will look a little different. We have been stuck in the house together for months now and it is okay to admit that the topics of conversation have become a bit redundant and we have all had enough politics talk. As well as being thankful for what we are blessed with, take the time at the dinner table to learn something new about your family members.
Use some of these table games and topics to learn even more about your loved ones!
Keep it Holiday Related
Thanksgiving dinner means the beginning of the Christmas Countdown. Find out what everyone at the table wants for Christmas, what their favorite Christmas movie is or their favorite story from past holidays.
Dinner Date
This is a cliche topic, but it is always a fun question to ask: If you were to have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you eat dinner with? Lengthen the conversation by asking if you could have a whole table of people, who would you invite? What would you eat? What type of music would be in the background? This conversation really could be endless if you let it.
Act Your Age
No matter where you are, who is around, or what you are talking about, the easiest thing to do is to embarrass the kids, especially when they are in the early teen years. No better place to do it than the dinner table. Ask them if they want to learn a new Tik Tok dance after dinner. Who is their current crush? Ask whatever you want. Its family dinner, they cant go anywhere when they start blushing.
