It’s time to sparkle and shine at the Rotary Club of Annapolis’ 12th Annual Black Tie and Diamonds Gala, taking place this weekend in downtown Annapolis.
Throw on your glitziest gown (or sharpest suit!) and head on over to The Westin Annapolis for a fantastic party to support the Connected Warrior Foundation. It's sure to be a great night for a great cause, so why not forget about the never-ending winter that's currently upon us and warm up with a night of drinks, dinner, dancing, and more?
For the past 11 years, the Rotary Club has sponsored this event, donating more than $350,000 to local nonprofits and charities. Read on for all the info.

The Details
What can guests expect? An evening of frivolity, glitz, and fundraising! Guests will enjoy cocktails, a sit-down dinner, a live auction, a raffle, dancing, and live music. Additionally, a silent auction will be held, with more than $20,000 worth of items up for bid, including jewelry, restaurant gift cards, a night’s stay at Loews Annapolis Hotel, sports tickets, and more.
Food and drinks? As the evening kicks off, guests will be treated to cocktails and hors d'oeuvres prior to a sit-down dinner with wine - all of which is included with ticket purchase. And an open bar in service all night long means you can save those dollars in your wallet for the silent and live auction (trust us, you're not going to be able to stop yourself from bidding on this stuff!).
What about parking? Plenty of street parking is available throughout downtown Annapolis. But, if walking outside in frigid temperatures isn't quite your idea of fun, the hotel offers valet parking.
The dress code? With a name like Black Tie and Diamonds, would you expect anything other than formalwear? For the guys, this means eaking out those sharp tuxes and suits. As for women, think stunning gowns or evening cocktail dresses. (Take a look through the photo gallery above to check out what guests wore to last year's event!).
Are tickets still available? Tickets are available, but be sure to order 'em soon! They cost $150 per person and can be purchased by calling 410-320-0301 or 410-353-2256, or clicking here. Please note, tickets won't be available at the door, so don't delay in purchasing them now!
Where do the proceeds go? Proceeds from the evening benefit the Connected Warrior Foundation. Established in 2012, this nonprofit serves the needs of injured veterans returning from conflicts overseas by providing them with Android-based computer tablets. These tables enable veterans to stay connected with out-of-town family and friends during their recovery from traumatic ain injury and PTSD. Recently, the program was extended to include hiking trips and sailboat racing excursions, allowing those more recently injured to connect personally with those who are further along in their recovery.
