Newk's Eatery--a one-size-fits-all restaurant with a robust menu billed as "fresh-made with impeccable ingredients"--celebrated the opening of its second Anne Arundel County location this past Thursday with fanfare that included Franchise Owner Tom Saia, Anne Arundel County
County Chamber of Commerce President Mark Kleinschmidt, Maryland State Police, and the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Additionally, Newk’s honored the Special Olympics of Maryland and the Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge by donating 10 percent of proceeds to the charity during the event. Live music and other festivities rounded out the day.
Thebr3,907-square-foot restaurant in Annapolis will accommodate 110 guests,brincluding an outdoor patio. Saia Enterprises, LLC, comprised of a husband andbrwife team, will operate the restaurant. Donna Saia first fell in love with thebrNewk’s brand while visiting a friend in North Carolina. She immediately knewbrNewk’s was something special, appreciating the premium ingredients and southernbrhospitality. Donna and Tom opened their first Newk’s in Waugh Chapel four yearsbrago, where guests have enjoyed the same recipes and inviting experience everbrsince.
