brMarinaLife recently announced the winners of its seventh annual Best Marina contest, with the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s marina receiving 2016’s Best Small Marina award. Votes were made by boaters nationwide for their favorite marinas in the over-100 and under-100 slip categories.
brbrWith 40 slips along the St. Michaels harbor and the Miles River, CBMM’s marina is within walking distance of shops and restaurants in St. Michaels’ historic district, and offers recently upgraded electric, climate-controlled showers, free Wi-Fi, pump-out services, and other amenities to members.

Completion of this training qualifies these volunteers to provide emotional support and practical assistance to hospice patients, families, and caregivers in their homes, in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in the residential hospice centers in Centreville and Denton.
Schooner SULTANA Wins Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race
brChestertown’s own schooner SULTANA was the winner of this year’s Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race, an annual charity event benefiting the
Chesapeake Bay Foundation that features up to 30 schooners racing the length of the Bay from Baltimore to Portsmouth. SULTANA completed the roughly 130-mile race in less than 24-hours, winning prestigious AA class on corrected time. br
