We have streamlined the Waterfowl Festival in order to keep our tickets at the low $10 price for all three days. You can find all the same great galleries and exhibits, but quite a few have moved to new locations, described below. Please note: The Tidewater Inn and the Historical Society will NOT be exhibit sites this year.
New Locations for Old Favorites:
Painting Galleries
The Painting Galleries are now "Art at the Armory" and have moved into the Armory, the location previously occupied by the Chesapeake Carving Gallery.
Chesapeake Carving Gallery
The Chesapeake Carving Gallery from the Armory and the Choptank Carving Gallery from the Middle School have come together at the Academy Art Museum. For Premiere Night guests: this will be the home of the Cocktail Decoy Auction on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Photography Gallery
The departure of the Choptank Carving Gallery from the Middle School left an empty space for the Photography Gallery which is moving from its previous location at the Historical Society.
Masters Gallery
The Masters Gallery returns to the Historic Avalon Theatre for the first time since 2004. The Avalon also hosts the Opening Ceremony once again on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
Retriever Demonstrations, Fly Fishing Demonstrations, Kids Fishing Derby
All events above return to the Bay Street Ponds, which last hosted these crowd pleasers back in 2001.
Sculpture Galleries
The Sculpture Galleries will condense back into two sites: Christ Church and the Sculpture Pavilion across from the Armory.
Waterfowl Chesapeake Pavilion
A new tent will pop up in the parking lot next to the Talbot County Tourism office on Harrison Street - the new Waterfowl Chesapeake Pavilion, featuring the new organization, "green" businesses, and conservation partners.r
