Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce's 15th Annual Hall of Fame and Awards Dinner

The Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold its 15th Annual Hall of Fame and Awards Dinner on October 14, 2021 at the Double Tree Hotel located in 210 Holiday Court, Annapolis. The purpose of the Dinner is to recognize the outstanding achievements of several Chamber members. The Chamber will be inducting four members into the Business Hall of Fame and will also be presenting several other awards. To be considered for the Business Hall of Fame a person must be a well-known, recognized, and respected business leader who has a career of distinctive achievements in leading his or her business. Former government officials who consistently supported business initiatives and leaders of non-profit, educational and community service organizations are also eligible.
Fall Maryland Home and Garden Show

United States Naval Academy Band - Resilient & Ready

The United States Naval Academy Band returns to Maryland Hall for a free community concert celebrating the 246th Birthday of the U.S. Navy. The theme of the concert is "Resilient and Ready." The event will honor the contributions of Navy health care providers, active duty Navy serving around the world, Navy families, and veterans.
BSO Presents Celebrating John Williams

Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly leads the BSO in a birthday celebration of the legendary John Williams. Anne Arundel County Literacy Council Book Fair
October 16th, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Westfield Annapolis Mall
The book fair will take place outside Discoveries: The Library at the Mall at the Crate & Barrel Court in Annapolis Mall. Westfield Annapolis Mall generously donated space and marketing support for the event. Information about the book fair is available at the Literacy Council’s website: www.icanread.org. The fair will feature a range of gently used books including children’s books, cookbooks, bestsellers, romance novels, memoirs, mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, and much more. Books will be priced $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks, with bundled book offerings at special prices. Shoppers will have the option of filling a special edition Literacy Council tote bag with books for $20. PayPal, credit cards, check, and cash will be accepted.
Quiet Waters 31st Annual Art and Music Festival

Captain Avery Museum Oyster Festival

For 24 years, The Captain Avery Museum Oyster Festival has been a Community Celebration! It is always a great time; with lots of fresh oysters, music, fun, and games! From 12:30 to 5 PM on Saturday, October 16, the grounds and museum of Captain Avery Museum will be turned into a waterside extravaganza. Admission is $10 for Adults and $5 for Children. Chris Jewett resumed his early passion for photography after retiring from the U.S. Navy in 2010. His work has since appeared in numerous art venues including the Maryland Federation of Art, Kent Island Federation of Art, Dorchester Center of the Arts, Ocean City Center for the Arts, and select galleries in Easton and St. Michaels.
