Join us for a special Storytime with local author Charlie Mazurek as he reads his book, Shop Annapolis Cats. Shop Annapolis Cats has ten cats – and a mouse – who design in a workshop to fund historic preservation projects. The story was written to share the history, architecture, and design of Annapolis! After the reading, explore the Museum on a special scavenger hunt.

Based on the book by Tom Philpott, Glory Denied is the story of Colonel Jim Thompson, who recalls episodes of his nine-year ordeal which include escape attempts, torture, and the overwhelming loneliness of years in solitary confinement. In the years after his return to the U.S., Jim struggles with adapting to his new life and the painful memories that come with it.

Abrams' book, Get Uncomfortable or Change Course, is a candid, funny, and insightful look at his journey to becoming the owner of 3 businesses: a doggie daycare, a coffee shop/bar and a gym. It serves as a guide for new and aspiring entrepreneurs who are ready to take action. Abrams' goal is to help people be more successful through tips and advice on everything from understanding what it takes to be an entrepreneur, the importance of a business plan, how to work with banks, hiring employees, the need to be creative every day, and more. Kelvin will be autographing books and serving up a signature cocktail that he created especially for this event. Books are available for purchase at the event.
