Our Story
In 2003, founder Elizabeth Chaney established Perfect Pet Resort – a retreat dedicated to nurturing the individual needs of each and every pet. They wholeheartedly fulfill this pet promise with comfortable, high touch and enriched overnight pet lodging, professionally supervised dog daycare, gentle spa services, and the most experienced dog trainers in the area.

To provide the highest level of comfort and happiness, their pet resort amenities and activities are carefully tuned and selected to meet the unique needs of each four-legged guest. From the stress-free suites and nurturing spa treatments, to the safely furnished play yards and world-class canine training areas, they have created an environment that makes for happy pets and, in turn, happy people.
Helping Build the Canine and Feline Community
At Perfect Pet Resort, the team is active in the regional pet community! They are invested and committed to serving the wonderful people and organizations located here. They feel grateful to be able to give back to the worldwide animal community by providing services and resources that enhance animals’ lives.
Perfect Pet Resort partners with local individuals, organizations, and businesses to assist with feral cat rescue and colony management. They support shelters by sponsoring and attending fundraising events, hosting food drives and offering on-site events to further their mission. They have also been known to rescue a dog or two!
Founder, Elizabeth Chaney, is a 20-year volunteer Canine Search Handler for VA-TF1, a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue team. Together with her canine partners, she has worked to find missing persons in disaster settings including earthquakes and mudslides.
