Maryland Renaissance Festival – Crownsville Weekends through Sunday, October 20th Each autumn, the 27-acre village of Revel Grove in Crownsville comes to life with food, entertainment, and merriment during the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Enjoy nine weekends of jousting matches, juggling, handmade crafts, feasting, and more. Arts in the Park – Chesapeake Arts Center, Brooklyn Park Saturday, August 24th, 11 a.m. Join Chesapeake Arts Center for the sixth annual Arts in the Park Festival. The free outdoor festival will feature live music, activities for kids, chalk drawing, face painting, local art and community vendors, and more. The event will be held rain or shine. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the live entertainment. Annual 10-Mile Run – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis Sunday, August 25th, 7 a.m. Join Annapolis Striders for its 44th annual 10-mile run. The race will begin at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, travel over the Naval Academy Bridge into Pendennis Mount, and finish at the stadium. Approximately 4,000 runners are expected to participate in this year’s race, and each finisher will receive a custom 1/2-zip long sleeve technical shirt and a medal. Proceeds will benefit several local charities and Anne Arundel Medical Center. Maryland Fiesta Latina – Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, Crownsville Sunday, August 25th, 11 a.m. Join ABC Events in celebrating Latin culture and heritage during the inaugural Maryland Fiesta Latina. This family-friendly festival will showcase authentic food, music, art, and more. Enjoy live music, cultural demonstrations, ethnic food, and local artisans.

Wine, Jazz, and Blues Fest – Sailwinds Park, Cambridge Friday, August 23rd, 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 24th, 10 p.m. Enjoy great jazz and blues music while sipping on some fine wines from Maryland, Delaware, and the surrounding areas. This is part of a series of events at Sailwinds Park on Cambridge's waterfront. Art X Artistic Xpression Exposition – Northside Park, Ocean City Saturday, August 24th through Sunday, August 25th Ocean City’s festival focusing on artistic expression, ArtX, brings additional opportunities for creative experiences to the beach. The outdoor event takes over Northside Park and its vast 58 acres. Surrounding the scenic lagoon, ArtX offers an endless list of opportunities to create, purchase and enjoy different genres of art—from simple and fun to professional and inspiring. Kids Fishing Derby and Movie Night – Centreville Wharf, Centreville Saturday, August 24th, 5 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon of free fishing followed by a screening of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. Rods will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own. Pack a picnic, or purchase snacks and drinks on site. Light Night – Cambridge Yacht Club, Cambridge Saturday, August 24th, 6 p.m. The 2019 annual Light Night party promises to be the best one yet. This celebration of the Choptank River Lighthouse will feature food, dancing, auctions, door prizes, and much more. Proceeds benefit the Cambridge Lighthouse Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to promote visitation to the lighthouse and enhance the experiences visitors have while there, and connect those visitors with other great attractions and businesses in our community.

Maryland State Fair – Maryland State Fairgrounds Now through Monday, September 2nd Celebrating its 138th year, the Maryland State Fair returns to the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The fair will feature thrill rides for the whole family, your favorite fair games and food, strolling performers, live entertainment, and so much more! The Live! On Track Concert Series, presented by M&T Bank, will feature live performances by American pop band Hanson, southern rock legends The Marshall Tucker Band, ACM Award-nominated duo LoCash, and ’80s arena rock band Night Ranger. Chesapeake Crab, Wine and Beer Festival – National Harbor Saturday, August 24th, 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. This annual Maryland festival is an all-you-care-to-taste extravaganza complete with over 30,000 crabs, lots of beer, arts and crafts, live music, family fun, and so much more.
