rThe couple. Amy Modlin, 27, and Matthew Levitsky, 31, of Philadelphia
rThe venue. It was a big blank canvas that could hold enough people and provide the experience that we wanted
rThe bridal party. 8 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen
rThe dress. A one-strap satin dress with pickups on the bottom, a long train, and beading accents. I chose my wedding dress because it thought it was formal yet fun. I was looking for something classy yet playful.
rThe ceremony. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful. We transformed the room by draping the walls and building a custom Chuppah with white orchids hanging. We set the mood with uplighting in warm tones with candles lining the aisle way. Our parents joined us on the Chuppah with the Rabbi and my sister, and Matts cousin
rThe reception. Our reception was an absolute blast. We started the night off with a cocktail hour with a small jazz band. We had multiple food stations including, cheese, meets, asian station, and passed hor d'eourves including shrimp, crab tacos, spanikotpita and many more. The atmosphere was very happy and celebratory. The cocktail area was packed with people.
rThe cake. We had 3 different kinds of wedding cake flavors served to our guests, key lime, chocolate, and chocolate chip. Our wedding cake was very fancy and was supposed to mimic my dress with a satin appeal and jewels.
rThe details. We personalized our wedding by having a live band play songs to keep the crowd dancing all night. We had gobo lighting on the dance floor and we transformed the room at the Westin. We gave all of our guests custom made bride and groom chocolate covered pretzel sticks. After the wedding we had an after party
rThe honeymoon. We went to Bali and Hong Kong for our honeymoon. We took a two week trip to Bali and traveled all over the island exploring its culture, architecture, history, and food. We stayed at the Oberoi in Seminyak on the beach. We enjoyed relaxing beachfront and took a horseback ride through the rice fields and onto the beach. We also explored ancient temples and saw monkeys.
