CHIPS & COMMON GROUND
Before meeting for dinner at Jalapeño’s, Stacey, a salon owner, and Kevin, a safety director, connected online. “We had great conversation and we laughed, but found we had differences,” Stacey says. “However, the things we had in common — love for family, travel and fitness — drew us together.”

IN VIEW OF SOMETHING SPECIAL
Initially, Kevin and Stacey dreamed of having a destination wedding, but they didn’t want to inconvenience their families. Instead, they treated their party of 17 to a backyard affair at Kevin’s home overlooking the Severn River — the same spot where Kevin proposed. “Now, we can look out our window and see where two special moments for us have occurred,” Stacey says. Two days after their family-only ceremony, the pair celebrated with friends at the bride’s parents’ farmhouse in Princess Anne.
MIAMI NICE
Stacey wanted to host a bougie backyard wedding with “crystal, quality dinnerware, and nice linens.” She turned to her neighbor Chris Mazza, an artist, and Chris’ mother Carol, who used to design window displays for Bloomingdales, to give the backyard Miami vibes. “I am so grateful for Chris and Carol’s friendship,” Stacey says. “There’s no way I would have been able to do it without them.” The Mazzas lent Stacey green vases and mirrored pillars to create a backdrop for the pier and elevated the rest of the reception with white drapes, curtain lights, and strands of pearls.

The couple’s favorite detail was their officiant, Stacey’s Uncle Jay. Stacey’s niece, who is “like a daughter to her,” served as her maid of honor and Kevin’s son served as best man.
SOMETHING TALL, SOMETHING FEATHERED
Because of the “casual” home setting, Stacey says her husband assumed she would wear a simple sundress. But Stacey had something more glamorous in mind. She found her trumpet gown at David’s Bridal, the first shop she visited with her mom and sister. “When I came out of the dressing room and saw their reactions, I knew it was the one,” she says. Five-inch platforms from Gianni Bini and a feather bolero completed her look.
I SPY SOMETHING SHINY
Instagram was where Stacey found her photographer, Bekah Lindner of Evergreen Elopements. “She was incredible,” Stacey says. The day of the wedding, one of Stacey’s earrings — which belonged to her grandmother — fell off in the grass. “Bekah noticed and picked them up for me; her attention to detail is amazing!”

Stacy and Kevin’s big splurge was their honeymoon in Monaco, which included visits to France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
BUON APPETITO
For their menu, Stacey and Kevin relied on tried-and-true favorites: chicken parmesan and other Italian dishes from Little Carmine’s and a pearl-studded cake from Lauer’s Bakery, which has met Stacey’s birthday cake needs for years.
