Sitting on the foundation of a 19th-century oyster-sucking house, The Narrows Restaurant has been bringing the tastes, sights, and sounds of Maryland's Eastern Shore to guests for 40 years.
Established in 1983 by Bo and Brenda Hardesty, the original owners of Annapolis' Middleton Tavern, The Narrows Restaurant was built to showcase the time-honored patterns of the Eastern Shore by giving a front-row seat to workboats plying the waterways and local waterman culling catches on nearby docks.
Along with Bo and Brenda, founding general manager Jerry Dammeyer helped create an award-winning menu and wine list that echoes the Hardesty's commitment to fine dining and the Eastern Shore. As the home of the original jumbo lump crab cake, The Narrows showcases fresh and high-quality ingredients consistent with the flourishing agricultural community, famous oyster beds, and crabbing industry that surrounds it.
The Narrows Restaurant now features a stunning waterfront private banquet room overlooking the Kent Narrows, offering pristine sunset views. Perfect for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and cocktail parties, this space provides a picturesque backdrop for any event. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including seated dinners, buffets, or passed hors d'oeuvres, all crafted with the same high-quality ingredients that define The Narrows' menu.
