Nick’s best friend and coworker hired Lily. She spent several seasons staring at the back of her future groom’s head before a coffee date changed their office relationship. The Mignognas wed at the Tidewater Inn after falling for the Gold Ballroom garden’s sail cloth tent and outdoor fireplaces. “It was a great destination venue for our two families to travel to from Wisconsin and Philly,” Lily says.
THE GOWN
One trip to BHLDN and Lily had her dress. “I wasn’t convinced I wanted lace, but I fell in love with the floral lace detail and the convertible sleeves,” she says. “The off-the-shoulder look was so romantic, like a character in a Jane Eyre novel!”

THE SUIT
“Although Nick looks great in a tux, he wanted to buy a suit to have in his closet as a capsule piece,” Lily says. “Once he decided [to wear] blue, picking the groomsmen’s suits came next; he wanted to stand out but not clash. The beige suits were from Nordstrom’s rental ‘The Black Tux’ and worked out very well!”

THE TIE
“I’m a big fan of Rifle Paper Co. and their romantic prints,” Lily says. “I found Nick’s tie and [once I saw the shop also] had bow ties for little boys, [I was sold.] Having Nick match my nephews, who were our ring bearers, was so sweet.”
