November is here and we have a lot to be thankful for, including all the great music coming to Maryland this month. Crack the Sky: Rams Head on Stage, Annapolis, November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
Since their debut album in 1975, which Rolling Stone named the “debut album of the year,” Crack The Sky has continued recording and performing high level live shows. This past August, Crack The Sky released two new albums: Living In Reverse, which features all new material, and Crackology, a collection of newly recorded versions of the band’s career favorites. Crack The Sky will be performing three shows at Rams Head On Stage on Friday, November 2nd, 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, November 3rd, 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, November 4th, 12 p.m. Tickets are $39.50. Don McLean: Avalon Theatre, Easton, November 3rd
Singer-songwriter Don McLean has been performing for over four decades, and he isn't slowing down. Best known for the classic “American Pie,” McLean has been inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Grammy Hall of Fame. His original songs have been covered by artists such as Elvis, Helen Reddy, Glen Campbell, George Michael, and Madonna. Don McLean will be performing at the Avalon Theatre on Saturday, November 3rd, 8 p.m. Tickets prices range from $60–100 and can be purchased here.
Chris Stapleton: Royal Farms Arena, Baltimore, November 4th
In 2015, Chris Stapleton released his debut album, Traveller, which went triple platinum and won Stapleton various awards, including a Grammy for Best Country Album. Since then, he has released two No. 1 albums and has won a total of seven Grammy awards. Stapleton continues to earn himself a reputation as one of this generation’s best country artists. Chris Stapleton will be performing at Royal Farms Arena on Sunday, November 4th, 7 p.m. Ticket prices vary and can be purchased here.
Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes: Rams Head on Stage, Annapolis, November 8th
In the 1960s, no artist embodied female rock and roll better than Ronnie Spector. As lead singer of The Ronettes, Spector released several iconic R&B and pop songs, including the Grammy Award-winning “Walking in the Rain” and the international No.1 hit “Be My Baby,” which was dubbed the No.1 best girl group song of all time by Billboard. In 2007, Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Ronnie Spector & The Ronettes will perform at Rams Head on Stage on Thursday, November 8th, 8 p.m. Tickets are $65 and available here.
Young the Giant: The Anthem, D.C., November 16th
Best known for their RIAA gold-certified hits “My Body” and “Cough Syrup,” Young the Giant's eclectic indie-rock sound continues to earn them popularity in the alternative music scene. This week, Young the Giant announced 2018-2019 tour dates in support of their fourth full-length album, Mirror Master, which released earlier this month. Young the Giant will be performing at The Anthem on Friday, November 16th, 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $40–139 and are available here.
