This Sunday, October 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,the West Annapolis Business Affiliation, Inc. is hosting its annual Oktoberfest. The festival features over 100 booths, authentic German and fair food, and a variety of seasonal beers. And, get your polka shoes on, because the Deutscher Musik Verein Oktoberfest Band is making the trip all the way from Cleveland to Naptown to serenade you traditional "oom-pah" music.

Plus, there's going to be a special kids' zone, so you don't have to feel bad about leaving yours at home.

Did I mention that West Annapolis Oktoberfest is free? Well, it is. What better way to start out October with some free, festive, fun?

If you find yourself on the Shore this weekend, though, don't fret. The Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre is finally opening! On Friday between 6 and 9 p.m., they're kicking off their official re-naming with a mayoral ribbon cutting ceremony (fancy, fancy), and music by the Bay Country Gentlemen.

This grand opening block party will also feature light fare, including popcorn and ice cream, as well as grease face painting, and street games. Plus, there will be beer and wine for sale.
