Marin Alsop, conductor
In her final program of the season, Marin Alsop reimagines Beethoven's Ninth Symphony as a 21st-century call for unity, justice, and empowerment. The concert opens with the first live performance of Reena Esmail’s See Me that flows into Beethoven’s Ninth, featuring new text from Wordsmith. Join Marin Alsop, the BSO, and members of the rich musical community of Baltimore for this bold interpretation of Beethoven’s ideas in response to today’s world.
This concert repeats on Thu., April 7 at 8 PM at The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD and on Sat., April 9 at 8 Pm and Sun., April 10 at 3 PM at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, MD. Tickets start at $35.
Join us for BSO LATE NIGHT on April 8. Mingle with musicians of the BSO at a post-concert performance and meet-and-greet in the lobby of the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
