A Screening and Discussion of Classic Movies
Event price: Free
Each first Thursday we screen and discuss a classic movie at the Severna Park Library. All screenings are free and our popcorn is also free! Join us as librarian and movie fanatic Andy Wolverton introduces, screens, and leads a discussion of Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946), starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. U.S. government agent T.R. Devlin (Grant) recruits Alicia Huberman (Bergman), daughter of a convicted German war criminal, to gain the confidence of Alexander Sebastian (Claude Rains), a leading member of her father's Nazi group. Alicia's assignment turns potentially deadly when Sebastian proposes marriage, with Devlin helpless to intervene. Don't miss one of Hitchcock's finest films! (And don't forget to come early for the cartoon!)Not rated, 101 min. For adults, college and high school students
